On Thursday, May 12, 2022, Kay Adams announced her last day with the NFL Network's Good Morning Football.

"My last [Good Morning Football] is [Friday, May 13]!" she wrote via Twitter. "End of an era. So proud. So grateful. Come party!"

Kay Adams invites you to her farewell party as the host of NFL Network's "Good Morning Football."

Adams said on the broadcast Thursday that her final official episode will be on Friday, and she invited the "GMFB" crew to "come party."

"I'm excited," Adams said on the show Thursday, adding that she's not sure if she'll cry on her last day.

"It's definitely nostalgic," she remarked. "We've been through so many studios, so many situations, and a million outfit changes this week... It's been an incredible ride."

In April, The Washington Post exclusively reported that Adams was quitting "GMFB" and was a leading candidate to host Amazon Prime Video's "Thursday Night Football" pregame show. At the time, no agreement was reached.

Adams continued, "It feels nice" to officially announce her departure from the Emmy-nominated morning show.

It's unclear what Adams will do next in terms of hosting, although she seemed to imply in January that she was seeking for a bigger chance.
