Padres beat Giants 8-7 in 10 innings Friday night at Oracle Park in a wild game in which objects were thrown near Jurickson Profar in two innings.

The Padres beat the Giants 8-7 in manager Bob Melvin's return. Jake Cronenworth and Wil Myers homered as the Padres rallied from 4-1 and 6-4 deficits. 

Machado's average rose to.359 with three hits. Myers: "Winning offenses are good." "We can better. Well-hitting. Why? Darin Ruf doubled. 

Four Giants defeats. Wilmer Flores' ninth-inning two-run single against Luis Garca tied the game. 

Machado hit Camilo Doval's (0-2) slider deep to center field, scoring Cronenworth. Profar's RBI single off Doval's foot later scored Machado. 

Melvin: “To score two right away shows what this club is all about." "It's great to see, but it's not easy. 

After a third-inning exchange, fans booed Profar. Despite a rough ninth, Garca (2-2) won. 10th-inning save by Robert Suarez. 

Brandon Crawford's one-out RBI single won it. Melvin returned to the Padres May 11. Melvin said pregame, "Good." "Returning. 

Absence stinks. One provides perspective. More stinks. "I'm back!" Ruf's first multi-homer game with the Giants came against Sean Manaea.
