She never felt the need to get any formal training in singing, her training ground is to attend four to five Jagrans in a day and almost 2 years she sing only bhajans.

At the Age of 16, she auditioned for her first reality show Indian Idol (season 2) in 2006, where she was eliminated early.

Her career started in 2008 when she launched her first album Neha The Rockstar with music by Meet Bros. and she performed some romantic songs, then after some time in 2010, Neha Kakkar made her first movie named ‘Isi Life Mein’ where she role as a college student and the movie is Directed by the Sooraj Barjatya.

The most sucessful year is 2016 where she is actual known as a famous singer and become a celebraty when she performed the popular song ‘Mile Ho Tum’ and song ‘Kala Chashma’ and that was became the Party Anthem of the year as well as most viewed Bollywood songs on YouTube.

She is also worked in Bollywood movies in Street Dancer 3D (Garmi), in movie  Jai Mummy Di (Lamborghini), in movie  Baar Baar Dekho (Kala Chashma), another super hit song in the movie of Satyameva Jayate (Dilbar) and in movie Fever (Mile Ho Tum) this was also a superhit song.
