We were delighted to see the trailer for Brahmastra which was released on 15th June 2013. As soon as the trailer was released, the response was positive, with visual effects that were comparable to those seen in Hollywood productions. It is an adventure-fantasy film in itself, with a strong element of adventure.
Brahmāstra does not fall into either the mythological or superhuman category. It is important to note that references from Indian mythology, such as the Brahmstra, a weapon capable of destroying the universe, are utilized in this book.
As Brahmāstra is a three-phase series, with the first part, Shiva, scheduled for release on 9th September this year, we examine whether the movie will be based on the books of the Shiva trilogy.
Brahmāstra is based on which book?
This movie has a simple concept. An ancient reference has been adapted to the modern age based on a reference from ancient times. In recognition of the fact that the Shiva Trilogy consists of three books as well, comparisons are drawn between Brahm-Stra and the Shiva Trilogy.
To answer these questions, none of the three books is based on Amish Tripathi’s Shiva trilogy. He has been involved with the project for over a decade now. Ayan Mukherji writes the script and story.
Brahmāstra Trilogy and Shiva Trilogy have anything in common or any similarities.
Even if Brahmāstra movie isn’t based on the Shiva trilogy, chances are that books and movies share some similarities. When the movie is released, we will be able to determine if there are any similarities. A glimpse of the trailer indicates there are no references to the Shiva trilogy. This will not be known until the movie has been released.
In terms of comparison with the Shiva trilogy book, the only similarity between them is that, other than mythology, weapons and mythological characters, everything else is fiction.
Brahmastra Story
A group of sages was practising meditation somewhere in the Himalayas during ancient times. A collision occurred between them and Brahm-Shakti, whose energy created different astras in the world. It was Brahmastra whom they managed to control with their respective astras because Brahmastra had the potential to destroy the universe. As a result of their collaboration, Brahminsh emerged, a secret society dedicated to protecting the world from the powers of astras.
Shiva Chatterjee, a DJ from modern Mumbai, falls in love at first sight with Isha Chatterjee. His feelings for Isha are reciprocated shortly thereafter. As a result of his strange connection with the fire, Shiva reveals to her that he had been an orphan since his mother passed away in a fire accident, which he survived without any burn injuries. Zor and Raftar attack Mohan Bhargav in Delhi in order to gain possession of a piece of Brahmāstra he owns.
In order to escape, Mohan disguises the object inside his Mayastra and uses the Vanastra to do so. He is captured by Junoon, who is employed by the mysterious Dev when he returns to retrieve the piece. Mohan reveals that Junoon is in possession of a second piece that is being protected by a prominent artist and archaeologist named Anish Shetty in Kashi.
Lastly, there is a piece in which Guru, the current leader of the Brahmins, is featured. In order to ascertain the location of Brahm’nsh (the ashram), Mohan commits suicide before revealing the location. In a vision, Shiva witnesses Mohan meeting Junoon for the first time. As he and Isha proceed to Kashi to warn and save Anish, Raftar interrupts them with his weapon. Using the Nandi-astra, Anish defeats him and escapes with Shiva and Isha.
They are chased by Junoon and Zor in a truck while traveling to Himachal Pradesh, where the ashram is located. Despite giving the second piece of the Brahmastra to Shiva and fighting Junoon and Zor, Anish is killed in the end. In the course of the chase by Raftar, Shiva and Isha arrive at Shram before Shiva kills Raftar with the Agnyastra after he attempted to kill Isha.
While at Shram, they learn about other astras, and Shiva is coerced by Guru into joining Brahmansh for the information of his parents. Shiva also gains the ability to control the fire after meeting other newly recruited members Rani, Raveena, Sher, and Tensing who are all trained by Guru on how to use their specific astras.
The closer Junoon grows to them, Guru reveals that Shiva is the son of Dev and Amrita, two former members of Brahm-ansh. Since it was only Dev, who was able to control several elements at once, who awakened the Brahmastra. As a result of a battle on a remote island, Amrita (pregnant with Dev’s child) defeated him and both of them appeared to have perished.
Two pieces of the Brahmastra were found in Amrita’s boat, which had been retrieved from the island. Both Mohan and Anish were given pieces of the Brahmastra. Amrita concluded that neither of the pieces was missing, despite her belief that the third piece might be missing. Throughout Shiva’s Maystra, the third piece of the Brahmstra is disguised as a conch shell, causing him to unknowingly release it when blood drops on it.
When Junoon and her army arrive at the Sharam for Brahmastra, everyone is taken, hostage. As well as defeating Junoon, Shiva killed Roz, who wielded the Nandi Astra, releasing the entire group. Although Isha managed to lose the third piece to Junoon, he managed to steal it from her.
Thus, she appears to have sacrificed herself in order to activate Brahm’stra. Shiva gains control over the Brahmastra with the “power of love”, reuniting with Isha despite the destruction. A post-credits scene shows Dev being released as a statue on an unknown island after Junoon activates the Brahmastra.
