What is the Story for Avatar 2 Full Movie?
It is understood that many of the details of Avatar: The Way of Water have remained under wraps, but that this movie takes place approximately 12 years after the first installment. Having permanently transferred his human consciousness into his Avatar body and becoming the new leader of the Navi people, Jake Sully (Worthington) has lived on Pandora for many years.
Neytiri (Saldana), who is a Navi native, has since started a family and has had children. In a revival of their original pursuits, the colonizing forces of the RDA and their mining operations have returned to Pandora, causing Jake and Neytiri to flee their homeland with their families. In addition to returning as the main villain of this and future Avatar installments, Lang is slated to reprise his role as Colonel Miles Quaritch.
We will be introduced to the Metkayina people in Avatar: The Way of Water, a film that explores Pandora’s unknown corners and focuses on its underwater life. The Metkayina are a clan of Pandora natives living among the reefs and oceans, and they form the central community in the second film.
According to Cameron, the sequel will be a natural extension of all the themes, characters, and spiritual undercurrents that have already been explored in the first film. Avatar 2 delays: Why has it taken so long?

Despite being announced in January the following year, the motion-capture elements of the film were actually begun in September the following year.
It was announced in March 2017 that a fourth Avatar movie would be released, and then it was announced that all of those films would be delayed again, with Avatar 2 scheduled for December 2017 (with the rest presumably scheduled for 2018 and 2019). The delay was attributed by Cameron to the “very involved” writing process. Avatar 2 was once again delayed in January 2017, supposedly as a result of Star Wars: The Last Jedi being moved from May to December of 2017.
Following Disney’s takeover of Fox, the sequel was rescheduled for December 2020 before being pushed back to December 2021, which brings us to today and the COVID-related delays affecting the entire industry. Although Cameron remained calm regarding the delays in 2017, he admitted to having concerns in a recent interview. Nevertheless, those concerns appear to have so far been unfounded.
As Cameron pointed out, “I was concerned that I had stretched the tether too far, given the rapid pace of today’s society, when Avatar 2 was released 12 years later. Up until we released the teaser trailer, we received 148 million views within 24 hours.” However, the question remains whether this translated into butts in seats.
